SPD President Pr. Glen Townend Challenges Vugalei Church to Be Salt and Light
25 April 2026Today, the General Secretary of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fiji, Pr. Senitiki Waqa, formally presented a submission to the Constitutional Review Commission Committee on behalf of the Church.
In his presentation, Pr. Senitiki emphasized three key areas of importance to the Church and its members:
1. The observance of the Sabbath.
2. The strengthening of Family values.
3. The role of Education in national development.
He underscored the fundamental principle that every citizen must be guaranteed the right to worship freely, in accordance with their conscience.
The Constitutional Review Commission Committee acknowledged the submission and expressed appreciation for the contribution of the Church to the nation of Fiji. The Church’s longstanding involvement in spiritual, educational, and community development initiatives was recognized as a valuable part of the country’s social fabric.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church continues to engage in national dialogue, contributing perspectives that uphold faith, family, and holistic development.
