Northern Ignition: Leadership Born in Nagigi
9 May 2026The South Pacific Division Secretariat Advisory gathered around 70 secretariat leaders from across the South Pacific this week at Watson Park, Brisbane, for a three-day training focused on strengthening leadership, governance, and mission-focused administration within the Church. Representatives from Unions, Missions, and institutions came together for sessions covering leadership responsibilities, church policy, governance, people and culture, ACMS, archives and statistics, volunteer services, and redemptive membership processes.
Fiji Mission General Secretary Pr. Senitiki Waqa was part of the ongoing training and shared that it is a privilege to be part of such important professional development for Church secretaries. He highlighted the importance of secretariat work in helping the Church remain aligned with God’s mission through strong governance, accurate records, and effective administration. Pr. Senitiki also expressed gratitude to the South Pacific Division leaders for investing in and empowering secretariat teams across the Division. The advisory continues to strengthen unity, collaboration, and the administrative systems that support the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout the South Pacific.
