Pr. Brian Chand Guides Sigatoka Youth from Holy Courtship to Higher Purpose

Leading From the Front
5 April 2026Our Divine Service at Dreketi Village Hall in Somosomo, Taveuni, was very uplifting. The hall was full of young people from 11 churches across Taveuni and Qamea. It was also encouraging to see many parents there, showing their support.
We were happy to have young people from other Christian churches join us too. This helped build unity, friendship, and a strong sense of working together.
During the program, the youths went out for door-to-door outreach and home visits, together with Pathfinders and church elders. Others attended a health session and learned about the 10,000 Toes Campaign and how it connects to the Fiji for Christ mission.
Retired Senior Pastor Ratu Talemo Cakobau shared a powerful message during the Divine Service. He spoke about faith, which was the highlight of the earlier session. His message touched many hearts and inspired the young people.
At the end of the program, many youths made a decision to recommit their lives to God. They chose to serve Him with stronger faith, believing that He can change their lives and their communities.
Now is the time to step forward. Let us not keep this experience to ourselves—go, share God’s love, serve your community, and live out your faith every day. The mission is calling—be part of what God is doing.
