The soft launch of Global Youth Day was held today at the Fiji Mission Conference Center under the theme “Communion in Action.” Young people and Fiji Mission staff gathered together for worship, prayer, and inspiration as they prepare for a powerful movement of service and mission. The special message was shared by Steve Aquila, Youth Director of the Trans Pacific Union Mission.
Speaking from Acts 4:31, Pr. Aquila reminded the youth that when believers come together in prayer, the Holy Spirit fills their lives and gives them boldness to speak the Word of God. He emphasized that God’s work is not done by human strength but by the power of His Spirit. When young people unite in prayer and faith, the Holy Spirit “glues” them together and gives them a common language, the Word of God.
He encouraged every young person to develop a friendship mission field of prayer, reaching friends and communities through genuine relationships and spiritual support. The launch reminded everyone that prayer brings people together, strengthens faith, and empowers young people to live out true Communion in Action.
