Vatuvonu Adventist High School Holds Inaugural Board Meeting
16 March 2026BUILDING A FUTURE IN FAITH was an appeal to the Women’s Ministries a month ago to give towards the construction of the first Adventist high school in the Western Division which is Lautoka SDA High School.
The Women’s Ministries’ district leaders coordinated with local church leaders with the support of the Pastors. The appeal was also extended to Fiji Mission officers, Excom members and women in California.
The high school committee planned the gathering and on the scheduled date, Sunday 15th March 2026, it eventuated. Courageous women, children and men represented their districts and churches from around Fiji and the outer islands to participate and witness what the Lord does when there are cheerful givers. It was a joyous occasion to see God’s people gather in faith to give, sing, encourage each other and share lunch together.
During the event, the Education Director, Mr Josevata Sumo affirmed everyone that even though there are other public high schools around the area, the new Adventist high school will provide a wholistic learning approach based on Bible truths and will nurture the student for Eternity.
The day concluded with a collection of $92,184.00 and thanksgiving to God Almighty. Paul assures in 2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” The Women’s Ministries’ Department is bidding all women to cultivate their walk by faith in Christ alone.
