Ministers Challenged to Stand United in God’s Mission
31 May 2026Ministers from across the Fiji Mission are gathered this week for the 2026 Ministerial Retreat, a special time of spiritual renewal, fellowship, training, and mission preparation. Held under the theme “One in Christ,” the retreat has provided pastors with an opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, strengthen their calling, and prepare for the important mission work ahead.
The theme has been a timely reminder that the work of ministry is not carried by individuals alone, but by a united body of believers who are called to serve Christ together. As ministers worship, learn, and fellowship together, the message of unity has encouraged them to return to their churches and communities with a renewed commitment to foster oneness in Christ.
One of the key takeaways from Dr. Darius’ presentation was the powerful statement, “Obedience is discipleship.” This message reminded ministers that true discipleship is not only about knowing Christ, but also about following Him faithfully. Obedience to Christ is the evidence of a life surrendered to Him, and it is through faithful obedience that disciples are formed, strengthened, and prepared for mission.
The retreat also created space for important updates on the upcoming Fiji for Christ evangelistic campaign. With about two months remaining before the campaign begins, ministers were encouraged by the progress and preparation taking place around the country.
The Fiji for Christ report highlighted that there are now 449 evangelistic sites planned across Fiji. Out of these, 148 sites will have international speakers, while 301 sites will be led by local speakers. This shows a strong spirit of partnership between the world church, local churches, ministers, and members in sharing the gospel throughout Fiji.
Under the evangelistic theme “Mysteries Revealed,” many preparations are already underway. Ministers and church members are working together to prepare communities, families, and individuals for the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. Across Fiji, members are praying, planning, visiting, giving, and sacrificing for the mission. Some have sacrificed almost everything because they believe that lives must be prepared for God’s Kingdom.
This spirit of sacrifice has deeply encouraged the ministers during the retreat. It is a reminder that Fiji for Christ is not only an event, but a mission movement that calls every believer to participate. From local speakers to international speakers, from pastors to church members, from small groups to communities, the work is moving forward through unity, prayer, and faith.
As the ministers gather under the theme One in Christ, they are being reminded that unity must begin with Christ and flow into the mission field. The retreat has helped strengthen their focus as they prepare to go back into their communities, churches, and districts to lead God’s people with love, courage, and faithfulness.
With Fiji for Christ drawing closer, the call is clear: this is the time for the Church to stand together. This is the time to pray more earnestly, work more faithfully, and serve more unitedly. Every church, every family, and every member has a part to play in preparing lives for the Kingdom of God.
As Fiji prepares for Fiji for Christ, let us be One in Christ and One in Mission. Let us pray for our ministers, support our evangelistic sites, encourage our speakers, visit our communities, and invite people to hear the message of hope through Mysteries Revealed.
Now is the time to work together. Now is the time to prepare hearts. Now is the time to point people to Jesus.
“May they all be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You.” John 17:21
