13 March 2026Health Screening Reaches Fiji’s Parliament
As the Fiji for Christ health initiative continues to spread across the nation, Members of Parliament participated in a special health screening program held at Parliament on Monday, March 9, and Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The screening focused on raising awareness about the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), which continue to affect many families across Fiji.
Several Members of the August House took part in the screening, including Mr. Jone Usamate, Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu, Assistant Minister Josaia Niudamu Kamikamica, and Minister for Transport Ro Filipe Tuisawau, along with other Members of Parliament.
This moment marks an important milestone for the campaign as it continues to expand its reach, from rural village communities to corporate organizations, tertiary institutions, government agencies, religious groups, business houses, provincial communities, sporting bodies, and individuals throughout the country.
Through these health screenings, the Fiji for Christ initiative is helping to raise awareness about diabetes and other lifestyle diseases while encouraging Fijians to take practical steps toward healthier living.
The message is clear: a healthier nation begins with informed choices and collective action.
