ON Wednesday, 9April, Minister for Policing, Honourable Iowane Naivalurua visited the Seventh-day Adventist Church headquarters and met with president Nasoni Lutunaliwa.
Hon. Naivalurua is meeting religious leaders to solicit their support towards the fight against the cultivation, production,and selling of drugs and illicit substances.
He said that churches are frontline organisations, and an effective partnership with religious bodies would augur well in the fight against drugs.
He shared that the drug issue in Fiji is threatening lives and our society.
He also toured Hope FM and declared his availability for a talkback show and more partnerships with our media platforms for greater awareness.
President of the church Nasoni Lutunaliwa also said that the church was ready to saturate its programs and events with awareness on drug related issues.
